An investor in one of downtown Dallas’ biggest skyscrapers has purchased an office building on North Central Expressway east of University Park.
An affiliate of Woods Capital Management bought the 3-story McKool Building at 5025 North Central Expressway south of Mockingbird Lane.
The 18,206-square-foot office was built in 1965 by the late Dallas lawyer and state senator Mike McKool.
Colliers International’s Susan Gwin Burks, John Bowles and Bruce Butler brokered the sale by former owners Windle and Shirley Turley. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
The building is in an area seeing new development with high-rise apartments and retail. It’s just north of the popular Knox Street district.
Woods Capital Management LLC is a real estate investor and developer that is one of the owners of downtown Dallas’ 50-story Thanksgiving Tower. Woods Capital is just finishing up a $40 million project to renovate the 1980s office high-rise.
